About Orange Hammers Contracting, LLC
Hello! My name is Mark Huffman, President and Founder of Orange Hammers Contracting.
Growing up the son of an Industrial Arts teacher in rural Virginia, I watched, learned, and worked with my Dad and saw the importance and value of understanding how things work, figuring out a solution, applying skills to fix what is broken, and not quitting until the work is done - correctly. He built our house along with a few subcontractors, and we never had to call a handyman for anything - that too was my Dad.
That foundation and work ethic carried through my education and translated well into a 40 year career beginning as a licensed Civil Engineer and soon thereafter as a Real Estate Developer of both Commercial and Residential properties. In addition to acquisition and development, my roles also included Construction Management. I have continued learning and honing skills, incorporating technology where beneficial, and have been blessed to share those skills in managing development teams, hiring contractors, working alongside crews, and mentoring others. In addition to professional work, I have also managed several church additions, and halfway house renovations for those in need. Talk about rewarding stuff.
Retirement from the development business has enabled me to start Orange Hammers Contracting, where we help individuals and families with their handyman and home repair needs, giving them peace of mind and satisfaction so they can focus on the parts of life that matter to them.
